At Read That Again we believe that Jesus Christ (The Anointed One) is the Son of God and is God. He was born of a Virgin by the Holy Spirit. He lived a sinless life as fully man, fully God. HE died for EVERYONE and HE has risen and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He sent us the Holy Spirit to guide, teach and comfort us. In HIS death and resurrection we are set free from sin and reconciled to have a deep and intimate relationship with God.

We are all made precious with value, purpose and in the Image of GOD!

2.png

But we were unfaithful in our relationship with Him, and so death and all kinds of suffering enters our reality...

Thankfully - God loves us so much that He gives His only Son to die for EVERYONE, and so He pays the spiritual debt we owe!

So that if we believe and follow Him we will be reconciled in our relationship with God and Life can be restored back within us!

13 Arguments for Christianity: A Logical and Historical Case for Faith

Introduction

Why do people believe in Christianity? Is there evidence that supports the claims of the Bible? Many skeptics assume that faith is merely blind belief, but Christianity is built on strong philosophical, historical, and experiential foundations. In this post, we’ll explore 13 compelling arguments for Christianity that demonstrate why faith in Jesus Christ is not only reasonable but also the best explanation for reality.

Philosophical Arguments for Christianity

1. The Cosmological Argument

Everything that begins to exist has a cause. The universe had a beginning, which means it must have had a cause beyond itself. This cause must be timeless, immaterial, and powerful—qualities that align with the nature of God.

2. The Teleological Argument (Fine-Tuning of the Universe)

The universe displays precise conditions necessary for life. The odds of this happening by chance are astronomically low, pointing to an intelligent designer.

3. The Moral Argument

If objective moral values exist, they must come from a moral lawgiver. Since humans universally recognize right and wrong, the best explanation is a divine moral authority.

4. The Ontological Argument

If it is possible for a maximally great being (God) to exist, then He must exist in all possible worlds, including ours.

5. The Transcendental Argument

Logic, reason, and morality require a foundation beyond materialism. Christianity provides the best explanation for these absolutes.

Historical Arguments for Christianity

6. The Resurrection of Jesus

The resurrection is the cornerstone of Christianity. The empty tomb, multiple eyewitness testimonies, and the rapid growth of Christianity despite persecution provide strong historical evidence for Jesus’ resurrection.

7. The Reliability of the Bible

Archaeological discoveries, manuscript evidence, and fulfilled prophecies confirm the Bible’s accuracy and reliability.

8. Fulfilled Prophecy

The Old Testament contains prophecies that were fulfilled in Jesus Christ, such as Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22, which describe His suffering and crucifixion in detail.

9. The Growth of Christianity

Despite persecution, Christianity grew rapidly in the first century. The willingness of the disciples to die for their beliefs indicates they truly witnessed the risen Jesus.

10. Personal Testimonies

Millions of people throughout history have testified to life-changing experiences through faith in Jesus Christ.

11. The Power of Prayer

Answered prayers and documented miracles provide experiential evidence of God’s presence and intervention.

12. The Witness of the Holy Spirit

Christians experience a deep assurance of God’s presence, guidance, and love, which aligns with biblical promises.

13. Christianity’s Influence on Society

Christianity has shaped human rights, education, science, and charitable work, contributing to the betterment of civilization.

Conclusion

Christianity is not just a religious belief—it is a faith grounded in reason, history, and experience. The philosophical arguments point to God’s existence, the historical evidence supports the truth of Jesus’ resurrection, and personal experiences validate faith in Christ. If you are searching for truth, consider these arguments and explore the claims of Christianity with an open heart and mind.
